COLUMBUS AREA EMERGENCY PET CARE
Most Columbus Area Veterinarians are open from around 8 am to 6 pm. Some Veterinarians
are open on Saturday. However, when you need help on Sunday, or at 2 am in the morning,
where do you go?
Please be aware that, on average, the cost of emergent Veterinary care is more than that of
your normal local Veterinarian, and you can't price shop for emergent care in Columbus.
There are two main places to go for after hours Veterinary care:

Hours- 6pm to 8am M-F, Noon Saturday to Monday at 8am.
It's the closest clinic for emergency services, with overnight monitoring services. When you
are in an emergency, close is important, and the veterinarians of AEC are available to assist.

Directions- Take 280 North to Interstate 85 South.
Take exit 51. Go north on College Street until the intersection with Shug-Jordan Parkway
(second stop light). Turn LEFT on Shug-Jordan traveling approximately 1 mile to Wire Road
(first stop light). Turn left on Wire Road (going away from the main campus of Auburn
University).
Auburn University has the best and most varied Veterinary pet care equipment, and some of
the foremost experts on Veterinary Medicine in the USA. Columbus is lucky to be close to a
teaching hospital. Especially if you have an exotic or unusual pet, Auburn may be your best
choice for emergent care. Columbus GA is 30 miles from Auburn University.
